‘When Terror Is Magnified My son, Stanton, is going to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana this fall. He’s brilliant and all the schools wanted him. He has been home-schooled these last two years of high school and during the first semester of 7% grade. My wife-and 1 are bappy thiat he chose a school this close to home. It’s only a little over 142 hours from our house. We feel confident that he’ll be “safe” as we can reasonably expect. He’s careful, has never done any drinking or used drugs, isn’t reckless, etc. He has got a strong sense of self-respect and a well-developed purposefulness as to the direction he will guide his life along. 1 dread the idea of not having him around though and I’m sure his mother and younger brother feel the same way. 1t seems like only yesterday, he was a lttle toddler with an enchanting demeanor. I regret all the times I could (and should) have spent with him, but didn’t due to my pre- occupation with my own life and interests. Luckily, his mother (my wife) won’t have these regrets, as she has always been there for him and his brother. ‘This latest horror movie come to life (Virginia Tech) is so sadly revealing about America. From the totally inadequate response by those supposedly trained to protect citizens (ala the non response to 911 & Katrina) to the undoubted Columbine-like aftermath (blame the victims/students,) this is a tragedy that is made worse by officialdom. For, the violent criminals of society take their cues from those who orchestrate policy to keep a socio-economic system (world-wide) injustice, in place. The job of the police is to protect stolen wealth ‘property, not people (or their “rights.”) They also are used to keep people “in line.” How do I know that the authorities aren’t really interested in the concepts of freedom, equality and “justice” for wronged citizens? It’s because my family, too, especially my son, Stanton, know the unbearable horrors of being the victims of a terrorist murder and the aggravating response the authiorifies gave, which made the senseless death of our loved one, infinitely more ghastly. You see, last July 20, 2006, my son’s best friend, 17-year

Pseudo Reality q4 1’s just like the reaction to the stirring outpouring of humanity clamoring for social justice and human rights for so-called “illegals.” Millions of people pour into the strects throughout America and the “solution” is o build a Beriin Wall at the Mexican border. Bear in mind, the whole Southwest is realy the nosthern half of Mexico! ‘That’s what this Iraq Report portends. Never wavering from the corporatist viewpoint, they lay out some ceuel optioas. For this “softnosy” the militry, politicians (such as Senator McCain) and others decide the “#raq problem” needs vicious infusion of aggression and slaughter. More soldiers wil be dragooned to o do this dirty work. There’s tak of mounting offences against Sad’s militia in Sadr City. That could tum into a horific gigantic Gaza City, also under brutal military occupation and constant assault. These imsamely alerming devetopments are greeted — catatonically, first and foremost— andkthen by-theanalysis” of putrescent poliical commentators in the papers. Today, a bought and sold mind, came up with the idea that Iraq “needs a Pinochet.” Authoritarian, mass-murder idolatry raised to a new level of modern- : day mindlessness! - OF course, they’re reveling in the “Chicago school” economic “miracle” a (fascism: brutal, militarized capitalism.) They look down on grotesque, U S.- a trained ghoulish torturer/murderers who they helped run the goverment/military. Their role in Chile was like when the CIA suppfied the Indosesian death squadmilitary with detailed lists of people to go and kill. The U.S. government has an insatiable sddiction to blood and death! Endless plots of murders, raids, bombings and all manner of vilely evi assaults on populations of peoples, inside and outside of their hideous international gulag/torture/interrogation/dungeons are etenally ongoing and globally pandemic. Millions of people died, to the complete unconcern of the movers and shakers in Washington. It was very much so, “worth it The policy makers care not for the human lives of people in targeted countries, of which there, are many. ‘Such an evil game they play - orchestrating genocide and senseless, mass death. But that’s what the pundits are left o sugar coat, gloss over, aod rationalize, o their endless surrendering to ying, bastard murderers. This regurgiated whoring is what everybody sees and hears all ay long, every day. Rare, clear examinations at the real situation are looked upon as insane. In this “free country” people get scared when they run across the truth. Fear s freedom! Most people go from one baseball, football or basketbail game to the pext. Don’t need or want to hear sbout it. “Hel in a hand basket” has been accepted as inevitable. They hold peoplc up, accost them, drag them off, take. their property, and have an elaborate scheme to let their buddies in on the thievery, called court. Cops wink at horrific crime by other cops like murder — and give the rich and politically connected breaks, t00. 1t’s called “Democracy.” But we have to let out hypocrisy farts and thus are aghast when a footbell player is found with a gun. Every single video game has guns blazin’ all the movies, songs - all their“culture” — including the glorying/recriting done for the U.S. military. But, professional athletes are supposcd to be goody two-shos, even though they re black, and thus subject to being pulled over for that, and the streets arc a dangerous plac in this compartmentalized socicty. Some arcas are safely affluent (for “white" people) but a lot of places are vulnerable to danger and desperation — and increased police viciousness/criminality. “The commercials on the radio are teling. The one about joining the CIA was interesting. They can’t come out and say we’lltrain you o assassinate people. Bastard Psyche ¢ A prisoner wrote to me and said it was really refreshing to get serious, honest publications because “all the guys talk about is sports and crime.” And let’s not forget sex! It’s the same out here. 1 listen to a lot of AM radio, Fm ashamed to admit. It’s always glued to the sports talk shows. The other stations have the banal pap of a “personality” most likely rabidly fascist if they are “political” or least common denominator tripe or endless boring loops of canned “news.” If and when the sports commentators get “political” its pro-government garbage, what I call “prison guard politics.” 1 should listen to music all the time but I only do that at work. It definitely is much better for contemplation and your psyche, in general. Anyways, the radio sports guys (and the occasional woman) are wrapped up in the dramas of the sports worlds. We’re supposed to be hurt and morally offended if Lovie Smith isn’t given an obscenely lucrative contract fast enough, because he was “only” making a million dollars a year, up to that point. Or, some sports figure, be it an athlete, an announcer, a coach or whatever, will say something stupid &/or ignorant about gays or blacks or women and they get on their moral p.c. high horse. Heaven forbid they talk about the endless slaughter in Iraq or elsewhere, people getting laid off, dragged off to prison, tortured, starved, ete., ete. Let’s not go there, folks! The closest we get is the miserable national anthem and how we must “support the troops.” There’s no morality. There’s no empathy. There’s no understanding, no awareness, no consciousness of what is truly important — the real life truth of this world and what needs to be done.
You go to the grocery store and s a cornucopia of g abundance of packaged & priced. commodity “goods.” Sometimes, Tl go by the magarine aisle. Rowe and rows of glossy nothingness — sports, T & A, the Vacuous culture, fashion, steroidal hunks, NASCAR, food, home improvement — products ad nauseum and written drivel, vainglorious albeit retarded vanity Ticonee plates, cell Phones, spinning hubcaps, jacked-up chesr g whatever particularly brand of stupidity they are flaunting. So, they sit arouny eating crap and getting fat, watching Link or Zolda, over an over and over and over and over and over.
solitics, - nothing. Life’s just a series of engorgements of ood, drink and constant idiocy. lo When tragedy strikes or the inevitable reckoning comes - alienation, depression, arrest... those involved, who have nothing to draw from, nothing to go on, nothing to use to understand the porplexing dilemma they’re confronted with, are left alone in their grief and misery. People may hug them and show superficial concern, but rarely is it that true insight is offered, because those around them likewise, have none! That’s because they don’t know anything they need to know. They’ve never been given the tools necessary to deal with life. They’ve been de-liberated, mis-educated and “nurtured” with an over-riding detestation of all things “political.” This makes them perfect vessels as worker-drones making it easy for the corporations toplug them into their fascist work places to do what they are told — “make money for us!” Before they know it, they’re in their mid-twenties, still drinkin’ their asses off, maybe with a wife and kid, getting into car accidents, getting speeding tickets, accumulating debt, still living like chickens running around with their heads cut off. They don’t study or read books, but rather, click their remote a million times a night, trying to find something “good” on cable before exhaustion and drunkenness overtakes them, before the alarm clock awakens them for another dreary day in the rat race. See, there’s no development, no working towards self- realization. It’s a vegetative, wasteful, sordid existence and the cretin-like “politics” they expound reflect that. “All politicians suck!” So that means I’m going to shoot myself 15 my intellectual foot and not learn anything. Unplugging yourself from your capabilities and possibilities, gives ‘monsters like Cheney, the local police chief, the school administration, judges, prosecutors, lawyers, politicians, bosses — all these horrible people who truly are scum, free
Hey! I know how it is because I did the same lame thing for a long time. | drank every day, went to my stupid job, went through less than honest and real relationships, members and their community. They shy way from real news and opt to talk about some 12~ rainstream drivel on the politieal level or what the kids re doing in the high school sports teams — oh, and the cores from the bowling leagues! That’s it! And, of course, here is the real driving force for this whole thing, the ads. So, around the so-called water cooler, guys talk about vhat the Bulls did the night before, which is that they ither won or lost. All these teams do this in equal ncasure. For all the winning there is an equal amount of osing. So there’s a net “gain” of nothing! It’s all just a »astime, a diversion from the juggernaut of global fegradation and endless human sutfering, like the slow loud cracking of huge glaciers. It’s an intermission from life, not life itself. So you ask, “How are we supposed to get out of our stuffy cocoons?” First, you’ve got to realize that you are in a cocoon and genuinaly want to get out! You’ve got to summon enough courage to own up to that and desire a real life. There’s a lot of pecking that you’re going to have to do to crack through the shell you’ve created. 1ts like becoming an accomplished piano player. A teacher can show you the rudiments, provide study materials, answer your questions, demonstrate techniques, provide increasingly more advanced instructions and be there for you, if and when you need them to be, but if you don’t apply yourself, practice and push yourself in a continuous, pro-active regimen of improvement, you won’t bocome an accomplished pianist. You’ve got to want to become what you always hoped and dreamed you could (and should) be! Everyone has a unique dream of what they’d love to be and do. Ideally, this means they learn to become that which interests them the most. Hopefully, this will also benefit society in some way. People are highly social animals and derive the most satisfaction, bathed in the love and affection of others, which is attainable by doing
their help. In faet, I’m one of those types of people, who make it their life’s work to do just that — help folks overcome their self-hate, lethargy and fear and move to actualize themselves. And, 1 don’t even charge anything for it! My payment is in the satisfaction I feel watching. ‘Ppeople flower into their beautiful selves! Get With the Brain-Dead Program! Al We’re all supposed to be gaga over Barack Obama, a timid, albeit repulsive corporate warfare state apologist. As well, we’re universally agreed that we must “support our troops” who are nothing more than trained murdering goons of Cheney, Halliburton, Shell O0il and the rest. We obey and show deference to the police, even though they are vile criminals, who kidnap our people by the hundreds and thousands, every single day. They stick people up and kill them and serve them in front of the sinister judges and attack dog prosecutors, so they can make it “legal” for their sadists in the prisons, who can then set up rapes and beatings, infections and the sordid, endless psychological bludgeoning, just to see how utterly insane and broken they can make even the strongest-willed of men, become. Years later, they let them go unceremoniously, with nothing, back into their destitute communities, ticking time bombs, with volatile timing mechanisms - random terror! Everywhere you look there are monsters in Old Navy clothing. The principal at the high school once worked for the CIA, torturing people in El Salvador. Now he has to satisfy his dementia & U.S-indoctrinated blood lust with closet pedophilia, sexual abuse of women and a child- hating daily demeanor. Oh! And his “Rducator of the Year” award his district bestowed upon him, a couple years ago. At boot camp, these hyenas scream at these freshly shorn of their “freedom” young know- nothings & turn them into know-nothing killing machines. Then they ship them overseas to occupy, kill and otherwise menace our “enemies” - people unlucky enough to be born in a land atop huge pools of underground oil. Right now (1-16-07) they’re preparing a “surge” of mass murder in the Shiite ghettos of Baghdad, with the approval of their lackey - al-Maliki.. 1sn’t it wonderful to see King’s “Dream” come to life? It was “worth it” to slowly ki1l children for lack of food, water and basie medicines. She went on to guest star on the T.V. Rice says the looming bloodbath, called a “surge” by "W’ is not an “escalation” but rather, an “augmentation.” She plays the piano and loves football. Isn’t it all so wonderful? Menawhile, most women now get to work at miserable wage-slave jobs, just like their husbands, fathers, boyfriends, and sons. How lucky is that They can now be blown to bits in Iraq, too! They’re enjoying the fruits of the “sexual revolution” too! They’re contracting AIDS at an alarming rate. They get to work in strip clubs and in the mega-bucks porn industry. They also get to be the “head of the household” as the only adult! And, it’s not just their husbands and sons who get to go to prison for their “three hots and a cot.” I’m proud to announce, that women are now the fastest growing members of “Prisoner Nation.” And, they don’t have to worry about their young children, while they’re serving time for their “crime.” The state will gladly take custody of their children off their hands - especially if Mom complains at all. These are just a few of the marvelous advancements made the last few decades to help us realize Dr. King’s dream. Our children aren’t a problem - cute and pudgy - they’re catatonically glued o their big screen, watching all kinds of violent animation. And if they start actin’ up, back-talkin’ and hittin’ the streets, the cops are there to round them up and haul them away. It’s just like taking out the garbage. The Police Are Trained Killers 2% Peaple are incredibly naive, here in America. Many believe this horrible war in Iraq is a hideous aberation of *American values” of freedom, peace, justice, benevolence, etc. This is not true. America has always been fiercely aggressive and murderous towards people throughout the four comers of the globe - from South and Central America, to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, even North America and Europe, the U.S. military has repeatedly unleashed ghastly camage on the people and ecology. As well, they’ve trained and propped up the most monstrous, murderous proxy govemments, and their death squad police and militaries. No evil, nor gruesome torture is off the table to these sadists. Murder means nothing to them. It’s routine. It’s their “job.” So, now, where do you think they get the-people to run the police and prison apparatus in this country? Well, there’s a lot of corruption and nepotism and clout type favoritism. Some people love to wield authority over others, some enjoy causing pain and some are racists who see these jobs as a chance to “deal” with those they hate. Some are imbued with idealism, patriotism and even want to help humanity and pursue-a police career, inculcated with the official propaganda, that this is the career where their hopes and dreams of “service® can best be realized. After all, the culture is a ubiquitous police-glarying one. But, a very important piece of their resume, which is aimost ‘mandatory, is military service. First, you must become a trained killer for the U.S. or state govemment (National Guard.) These distinctions are blurred, as the U.S. imperialist juggemaut is regularly sending guardsmen and women overseas to their theatres of operations — lately, Iraq and Afghanistan. So, if you’re lucky enough to survive your tour(s) and come home to look for wark, you’ve been conditioned Into accepting (and participating in) the most sinister of organized criminality — breaking into paoples’ homes, kidnapping men, shooting, killing, torturing, intimidating people. In short, you’ve become “nazified.” The most heinous activities, you come to see as normal, necessary, routine, - even “good.” These are the types of pecple that the increasingly militarized police forces in the U.S. are looking for. Many people recoll at this horrible development. They oppose killing and war for American business profit and monopoly of the worlds’ resources. The clarity of this humanist perspective is very loudy on the American psyche, as people are subjected to relentiese brainwash and lies, which people are so bombarded with, here.
Anyone who’s been to an anti-war demonstration in Chicago, or anywhere else in the us. is confronted by hundreds (even mmmunuaurm.n.mm-mmtummm monsters t the bark of an order, from their immediate superior in rank. &mhm-lmmdwwnywrwdnynnbun manipulated into. Many, many more aro seriously njured and eves ot stil have delayed disabilties, due to post-traumatic stregs syndrome nd the after-effects of depleted uranium and other poisans they’ve
been subjected to. This doesn’t even really factor in the psychological nightmare of being brutalized into being a soldier and forced to witness (and participate in) evil activities. 24 8o, when they come home, they don’t *fit in’ the nice, artificial consumerist sit-com world they left. Jobs (as always) are scarce and besides, who’s going to want to hire a guy who’s gone through this Dante’s Inferno? Well, the state might hire you, a prison might hire you and the police always need guys used to this sort of order- ‘obeying without qualms training Bush rose to the Presidency as a Texas serial killer. Why, Hitler’s election was cleaner than W’s! He’s now a world-class genocidal criminal as is Cheney and the others, calling the deadly shots. So, intemational criminals determine who our “enemies” are ‘and what “ctiminal behavior* is anything that opposes their megalomania.) The police follow guidelines erected by totally corupt legisiative and judiciary systems. So, the cops are awash in a sea of criminality. They’ve come from the miltary-and have seen (and participated in) murders and all forms of mayhem - without hardly any serious accountabillty. We’ve seen wedding parties bombed, even “friendly fire" incidents, mass killings of “insusgents’ and “civilians® — all mean nothing, except maybe an absolving, perfunctory “report.” This is their training on how to write reports, once they’re back in the States, as cops. Plus, ke heroin, the military doesn’t like to let go of their peaple, and often, forces them back into active duty in the military and they find themselves shouldering a much more letha gun, in & neighborhood in a foreign country. Also, there’s the soldier-of- fortune (mercenaries) or private contractor “security” forces (corporate-run, for-profit armies) layers of domestic security.forces, etc. which the police can and do also access. Cops also see the sordid underbelly of corporate crime, wage- slavery, “llegal” aliens, and a wild assortment of profit-maximization schemes, unsafe working conditions, bank fraud, mass lay-offs, the blackmail corporate lawyers use to extort concessions from grateful (and bribe-taking) local officials, drunken corrupt politicians, prosecutors and judges as well as the ugly manifestations of street crime ~ prostitution, sexual slavery, drug addiction, killings, robberies, etc., etc. So, they’re operating in a-sea of crime, and are left to sort it all out, under the strange constrictions of the “law.” ‘They must hold their noses and follow the guidelines set by the big corporate criminals and their political fiunkies. Al those who are connected get a free pass. So, they’re left to “make a living” ~ engaging in criminal activity

These giants of the movement pointed the way for how anarchists could maximize their effectiveness and be a fundamental component of the struggle working with the most oppressed of Amerika - black youth, Hispanics, Native: Amerikans, women, poor “whites” ete. “The challenge was to go directly to the oppressed communities and. support (and help educate) their prisomers. ABC groups popped up throughout Europe and the Americas. "As the U.S. prison population exploded in the mid to late 70’s, 80’s, 90s and still ising today (2.3 million prisoners!) the need for a new wave of ‘Tovolutionary tatics and practice becomes of paramount importance. Like always, the application of anarchist theory isof utmost usefulness and by prisoners instinctively! “The only limitation of this powerful collaboration between the ideas of " anarchism and prisoners struggling against our common enemies is the resolve and dedication of anarchists on the “outs.” There are many more . prisoners wiling to fight than outside supporters willing to fight with them, even! though prisoners are outnumbered 130 to 1, by those on the “outs.” ‘The Anarchist Black Cross Federation (ABCF) was formed in the mid- nineties in the U.S. and Canada, with a focus on supporting “political i ‘and “prisoners of war.” These are people incarcerated for “crimes” committed to directly challenge the State, such as Lutalo, ‘Balagoon and several non-anarchist politicals. Balagoon died in prison. Several other individual anarchist support groups flowered briefly, as did ‘anarchist driven books to prisoner programs. Many anarchists work with other types of support groups and some anarchists do serious support to anarchist prisoners and others that they know, outside any type of organization, or otherwise. e case of Mumia Abu-Jamal gave the prison struggle a strong focal poiat that has become the international campaiga, suchas Sacco and Vanzettiin the 1920’s. The job-description of a cop i to commit crime for the ‘government and to protect corporate.(stolen) property. ‘The best career ‘move for a seriously hardened criminal is to become a cop! 1" But, how do we deal with crime and how do we deal with aberrant ‘behavior? The best defense against a criminal attack is self-defense and | community-organized defense. Do not call the cops! For example, a family | member stresses-out and threatens himself or someone else with a knife, say. You call the cops. The cops come and kil your relative. Nothing is going to happen to that cop who killed your family member! Even if he was charged and even convicted, it would be through the injustice system . anyway, where lawyers, prosecutors and judges take the place of “the People.” So, you won’t get anything close to “justice” and even if the cop ‘ended up in prison, nothing good would come from that, either. But, you’l bave to live with guilt and regret for the rest of your life ‘because you know you could have calmed him down, eventually, if you had taken direct action instead of fascist action. “There are other ways to deal with aberrant behavior, than by the ‘counter-productive nightmare, gas-on-the-fire *solution” that is the charade of show trialing and incarceration. These include: ostracism, ‘public denunciation (and possible forgiveness), restitution to the victim(s), ‘persuasion, education, social pressure, noo-compulsory therapy, help of friends and neighbors, non-collaboration, nonviolent resistance, and even Violent self-defense, if necessary. These methods work to great effect, if the situation is not menaced by coercive authority and through the ‘corrupt court system, where “justice” s for sale and hire and convictions and harsh prison termas go to the dark-complexioned &/or poor. ‘These remedies work well in a sane, non-oppressive society, where crime * is not being bred by a coercive state, o when the authorities are kept out of it. Most crime will have vanished, as people are prodncts of their _ cavironment and their conditioning and are not pre-disposed to criminal activity, don’tlike what they are doing or have become, but don’t know the way out. Often, they’re coerced into these roles. “This brings me to another point. Just as societal crime needs to be exorcised by killing the head of the snake (the State), individuals, who have been criminalized (and often encaged) must be fundamentally re-wired and re-directed from a self-bating, predatory, socially, psychologically, historically and politically ignorant mind-set to a self-respecting, conscious, aware, fearless and dedicated mindset, that will enabie them to become gennine. freedom ghters for their people. “This behavioral overhaul develops from the wellsprings of each individual’s longing to actualize his or ber trae calfing in-ife — the taking of direct action over the direction of one’s own life! For, up to that point, everything had a price tag on it and was about some rip-off scheme. Here was the untold truth, plain and simple, given freely, by anarchists, who did so because they love freedom and hate fascism. For perhaps the first time in their lives, they re being exposed to the revolutionary truth, written by conscious fellow prisoners and fighters on the “outs” detailing the realities of prisons and how they are connected to the world-wide struggle. It’s what slaves require to unlock the key for a real ‘Anarchism preseated this way - as a fundamental act of solidarity in action, becomes the life-blood of the struggle. There are different blood types, A, B, O positive and negative. Anarchism is like plasma — the * essential ingredient that sustains life and can be given to anybody, regardless of blood type (idcology, history, culture, etc:) It taking the Ferrer Modern School of anarchist education right to the pitiless heart of this beast and teaching revolution to their slaves. It calls out the State for the brutal fraud that it is, by liberating the minds of her most cruelly oppressed captives. But mutual aid is a two-way street. Some of the very most insightful writers, analysts, researchers, poets, reporters and artists, are i prison! ‘They are in the front lines, captives of this moustrous regime. Guards are culled from their gulags to do their dirty work in places like Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay. They see new repressive tactics, new mind-melting, psychoactive drugs, erowd-control techniques, etc. irst, as they are the State’s first guinea pigs for these latest surprises.

I¢’s been my exporience that the know-it-all anarchist is the biggest asshole in the room. The reason I say this is because I’ve been that dumb-assed person myself, on occasion. As for affinity groups and collectives, I’l say this. It’s more difficult forming these groups with prisoners. For example, since the Constitution considers prisoners slaves, it is thus *illegal” for them to form a slave-labor ‘union, such as the Missour Prison Labor Usion, to challenge the conditions of their slave labor. The courageons activists of this anarchist ‘group are forever being assaulted, transferred, thrown into the hole or otherwise harassed by the authorities. Don’t ever let the prisonkrats discourage you from wrking with such prisoners. They aleo disappear letters, publications, cointelpro (iie) about people, etc. Stay with it and ‘build those collectives. ‘The Anarchist Black Cross Netwark is a collection of autonomous ABC roups, scattered across the country. The best instincts-of humankind will be nourished and the baser ones (which the State had always relied ‘There’s one last thing I want to say before I end this. Every ideology including anarchism is what the people who profess these beliefs actually dol Believers try to absolve their tendencies towards authoritarian ruthlessness by saying that that is not what the original doetrines “meant!” What actually did happen and what is happening is what matiers. In other ‘words, it’s what modern day “anarchists® actually do which defines what anarehism is —not what asticulate anarehists of yore claimed anarchism ‘was! W have to interpret thesc principles to effectively adapt them t0 the reality of today’s world. Anarchism is what those who profess themseives to be anarchists ‘actually do, just like Christianity is the sum total of what the various “Christians” actually do! How impressive anarchism becomes is in a direct ratio to how much serious educational work, by anarchists s done for those Who thirst for this education. Is a hugely importaat, massive, urgent, 1o provide! Tbelieve diving into serious anarchist-driven prisoner support work is the best utilization of anarchist principles. It’s a hands-on personal journey of self-discovery and learning. Each person has their own unique talents to add to the struggle. But, we owe it 10 our prisones to be with them, fight with them and learn with them. Anarchisia without the fundamental component of prison abolition is pointless and useless. Anarchism pounding in the hearts and souls of the - worlds most oppressed becomes limitless in its applications.

old Dylan Drapeau, equally brilliant and talented, was pointlessly murdered by a “bad apple” off-duty cop, one Brian Dorian, at a dangerous intersection in Crete, our sister town, ‘where the Drapeau’s live. The cover-up was swift and extensive. Several police forces arein on it. When is a crime not a crime, you ask? The answer is when a cop commits it. So, it’s been several months of lies, ‘more lies, deceit and its opposite — courage, bravery and dear Dylan. Blessedly for the family, a righteous witness came forward to the family, after the disgusting brush-off by the Crete police, didn’t take. Dylan’s father, Ken, also managed to find a mechanical engineer professor with the experience and social conscientiousness to genuinely explain how this ‘monstrous collision actually happened. This, of course, totally debunks the shameful effort put forth by the police in Crete, as ‘well as the Tllinois State police reconstruction report. ‘Soon, the truth will come out, in gruesome detail. For, Dylan, was an exemplary yousg fman, not o mention an incredibly talented pianist. He truly was a modern-day ‘make a wonderful adult life happen. Dylan likewise never ‘touched drugs or alcohol. ’Up to this point, Dorian hasn’t even been ticketed, not been as.a Lynwood cop. He’s still out there menacing (and assaulting) other people, protected by the smirking low- Yifes around him. We had hoped to change this, once we met with the Will County Prosecutors who are considering charges against him. Yesterday, my wife and I and the Drapeau’s, Ken and Sharrie met with two such people. We gave them the report. They still don’t believe Dorian was turning at such a recklessly high speed, slamming into Dylan car broadside, locking vehicles, killing Dylan. The laws of Ilinois, land of corruption, are easy on a murderer who uses speed and recklessness to kill his victims. We will continue, through the tears and anger, to get them to charge Dorian with a serious felony. Yesterday, it ‘was nine months to the day that Dylan was killed. Even if the prwealtmsmtnoguflssandpm—pigmchmgehim, wewfll ‘most certainly take the case to the court of public opinion, where we know we will win. We need a complete revolution!

‘When Terror Is Magnified

My son, Stanton, is going to the University of Illinois in
Champaign-Urbana this fall. He's brilliant and all the schools
wanted him. He has been home-schooled these last two years
of high school and during the first semester of 7% grade.

My wife-and 1 are bappy thiat he chose a school this close to
home. It’s only a little over 142 hours from our house. We
feel confident that he'll be “safe” as we can reasonably expect.
He's careful, has never done any drinking or used drugs, isn't
reckless, etc. He has got a strong sense of self-respect and a
well-developed purposefulness as to the direction he will guide
his life along.

1 dread the idea of not having him around though and I'm
sure his mother and younger brother feel the same way. 1t
seems like only yesterday, he was a lttle toddler with an
enchanting demeanor. I regret all the times I could (and
should) have spent with him, but didn't due to my pre-
occupation with my own life and interests. Luckily, his mother
(my wife) won't have these regrets, as she has always been
there for him and his brother.

‘This latest horror movie come to life (Virginia Tech) is so
sadly revealing about America. From the totally inadequate
response by those supposedly trained to protect citizens (ala
the non response to 911 & Katrina) to the undoubted
Columbine-like aftermath (blame the victims/students,) this is
a tragedy that is made worse by officialdom. For, the violent
criminals of society take their cues from those who orchestrate
policy to keep a socio-economic system (world-wide) injustice,
in place. The job of the police is to protect stolen wealth
‘property, not people (or their “rights.”) They also are used to
keep people “in line.”

How do I know that the authorities aren't really interested
in the concepts of freedom, equality and “justice” for wronged
citizens? It's because my family, too, especially my son,
Stanton, know the unbearable horrors of being the victims of a
terrorist murder and the aggravating response the authiorifies
gave, which made the senseless death of our loved one,
infinitely more ghastly.

You see, last July 20, 2006, my son's best friend, 17-year

Pseudo Reality q4

1's just like the reaction to the stirring outpouring of humanity clamoring for
social justice and human rights for so-called “illegals.” Millions of people pour
into the strects throughout America and the “solution” is o build a Beriin Wall at
the Mexican border. Bear in mind, the whole Southwest is realy the nosthern half
of Mexico!

‘That's what this Iraq Report portends. Never wavering from the corporatist
viewpoint, they lay out some ceuel optioas. For this “softnosy” the militry,
politicians (such as Senator McCain) and others decide the “#raq problem” needs
vicious infusion of aggression and slaughter. More soldiers wil be dragooned to
o do this dirty work. There’s tak of mounting offences against Sad’s militia in

military occupation and constant assault.

“free country” people get scared when they run across the truth. Fear s freedom!

Most people go from one baseball, football or basketbail game to the pext.
Don't need or want to hear sbout it. “Hel in a hand basket” has been accepted as
inevitable. Wow! “Freedom” must mean you have been totaly eviscerated and
have'no fight left - even to leam to live with your family and have & fuure.

0's perecived as “dangerous” to honestly think about the issucs. People can see
it for themselves anytime they have to deal with it - the corrupt sudge that s local,

official (criminal) gang. They hold peoplc up, accost them, drag them off, take.
their property, and have an elaborate scheme to let their buddies in on the thievery,
called court. Many times, people end up in a cage, raw meat in a punishment
industry! Cops wink at horrific crime by other cops like murder — and give the
rich and politically connected breaks, t00. 1t's called “Democracy.”

But we have to let out hypocrisy farts and thus are aghast when a footbell
player is found with a gun. Every single video game has guns blazin' all the
movies, songs - all their“culture” — including the glorying/recriting done for the
U.S. military. But, professional athletes are supposcd to be goody two-shos, even
though they re black, and thus subject to being pulled over for that, and the streets
arc a dangerous plac in this compartmentalized socicty. Some arcas are safely
affluent (for “white" people) but a lot of places are vulnerable to danger and
desperation — and increased police viciousness/criminality.

“The commercials on the radio are teling. The one about joining the CIA was
interesting. They can't come out and say we'lltrain you o assassinate people.
They ask if the person s interested in a “world of inrigue.” Working hand-in-

they send their CIA operatives on. Normal, working people, as always, are made.

Bastard Psyche ¢

A prisoner wrote to me and said it was really refreshing
to get serious, honest publications because “all the guys
talk about is sports and crime.” And let's not forget sex!
It’s the same out here.

1 listen to a lot of AM radio, Fm ashamed to admit. It's
always glued to the sports talk shows. The other stations
have the banal pap of a “personality” most likely rabidly
fascist if they are “political” or least common denominator
tripe or endless boring loops of canned “news.” If and when
the sports commentators get “political” its pro-government
garbage, what I call “prison guard politics.”

1 should listen to music all the time but I only do that at
work. It definitely is much better for contemplation and
your psyche, in general.

Anyways, the radio sports guys (and the occasional
woman) are wrapped up in the dramas of the sports worlds.
We're supposed to be hurt and morally offended if Lovie
Smith isn’t given an obscenely lucrative contract fast
enough, because he was “only” making a million dollars a
year, up to that point. Or, some sports figure, be it an
athlete, an announcer, a coach or whatever, will say
something stupid &/or ignorant about gays or blacks or
women and they get on their moral p.c. high horse. Heaven
forbid they talk about the endless slaughter in Iraq or
elsewhere, people getting laid off, dragged off to prison,
tortured, starved, ete., ete.

Let's not go there, folks! The closest we get is the
miserable national anthem and how we must “support the
troops.” There’s no morality. There's no empathy. There's
no understanding, no awareness, no consciousness of what
is truly important — the real life truth of this world and
what needs to be done.
You go to the grocery store and s a cornucopia of g
abundance of packaged & priced. commodity “goods.”

Sometimes, Tl go by the magarine aisle. Rowe and rows

solitics, - nothing. Life's just a series of engorgements of
ood, drink and constant idiocy. lo

When tragedy strikes or the inevitable reckoning comes
- alienation, depression, arrest... those involved, who have
nothing to draw from, nothing to go on, nothing to use to
understand the porplexing dilemma they're confronted
with, are left alone in their grief and misery. People may
hug them and show superficial concern, but rarely is it that
true insight is offered, because those around them likewise,
have none!

That's because they don’t know anything they need to
know. They've never been given the tools necessary to deal
with life. They've been de-liberated, mis-educated and
“nurtured” with an over-riding detestation of all things
“political.”

This makes them perfect vessels as worker-drones
making it easy for the corporations toplug them into their
fascist work places to do what they are told — “make money
for us!”

Before they know it, they're in their mid-twenties, still
drinkin' their asses off, maybe with a wife and kid, getting
into car accidents, getting speeding tickets, accumulating
debt, still living like chickens running around with their
heads cut off. They don't study or read books, but rather,
click their remote a million times a night, trying to find
something “good” on cable before exhaustion and
drunkenness overtakes them, before the alarm clock
awakens them for another dreary day in the rat race.

See, there’s no development, no working towards self-
realization. It's a vegetative, wasteful, sordid existence and
the cretin-like “politics” they expound reflect that. “All
politicians suck!” So that means I'm going to shoot myself
15 my intellectual foot and not learn anything. Unplugging
yourself from your capabilities and possibilities, gives
‘monsters like Cheney, the local police chief, the school
administration, judges, prosecutors, lawyers, politicians,
bosses — all these horrible people who truly are scum, free
Hey! I know how it is because I did the same lame thing

members and their community. They join churches, maybe
work for a charity or other social groups, volunteer at
school and pursue their interests to some degree. But, it's
our hair done or who to buy a used car from. They shy
way from real news and opt to talk about some 12~
rainstream drivel on the politieal level or what the kids
re doing in the high school sports teams — oh, and the
cores from the bowling leagues! That’s it! And, of course,
here is the real driving force for this whole thing, the ads.

So, around the so-called water cooler, guys talk about
vhat the Bulls did the night before, which is that they
ither won or lost. All these teams do this in equal
ncasure. For all the winning there is an equal amount of
osing. So there’s a net “gain” of nothing! It's all just a
»astime, a diversion from the juggernaut of global
fegradation and endless human sutfering, like the slow
loud cracking of huge glaciers. It's an intermission from
life, not life itself.

So you ask, “How are we supposed to get out of our
stuffy cocoons?” First, you've got to realize that you are in a
cocoon and genuinaly want to get out! You've got to
summon enough courage to own up to that and desire a real
life. There’s a lot of pecking that you're going to have to do
to crack through the shell you've created.

1ts like becoming an accomplished piano player. A
teacher can show you the rudiments, provide study
materials, answer your questions, demonstrate techniques,
provide increasingly more advanced instructions and be
there for you, if and when you need them to be, but if you
don't apply yourself, practice and push yourself in a
continuous, pro-active regimen of improvement, you won't
bocome an accomplished pianist.

You've got to want to become what you always hoped
and dreamed you could (and should) be!

Everyone has a unique dream of what they'd love to be
and do. Ideally, this means they learn to become that
which interests them the most. Hopefully, this will also
benefit society in some way. People are highly social
animals and derive the most satisfaction, bathed in the love
and affection of others, which is attainable by doing

their help.

In faet, I'm one of those types of people, who make it
their life's work to do just that — help folks overcome their
self-hate, lethargy and fear and move to actualize
themselves. And, 1 don’t even charge anything for it! My
payment is in the satisfaction I feel watching. ‘Ppeople flower
into their beautiful selves! (smile*) And, of course, it's

We’re all supposed to be gaga over Barack
Obama, a timid, albeit repulsive corporate warfare
state apologist. As well, we’re universally
agreed that we must “support our troops” who are
nothing more than trained murdering goons of
Cheney, Halliburton, Shell O0il and the rest.

We obey and show deference to the police,
even though they are vile criminals, who kidnap
our people by the hundreds and thousands, every
single day. They stick people up and kill them
and serve them in front of the sinister judges and
attack dog prosecutors, so they can make it
“legal” for their sadists in the prisons, who can
then set up rapes and beatings, infections and the
sordid, endless psychological bludgeoning, just to
see how utterly insane and broken they can make
even the strongest-willed of men, become.

Years later, they let them go
unceremoniously, with nothing, back into their
destitute communities, ticking time bombs, with
volatile timing mechanisms - random terror!

Everywhere you look there are monsters in Old
Navy clothing. The principal at the high school
once worked for the CIA, torturing people in El
Salvador. Now he has to satisfy his dementia &
U.S-indoctrinated blood lust with closet
pedophilia, sexual abuse of women and a child-
hating daily demeanor. Oh! And his “Rducator of
the Year” award his district bestowed upon him, a
couple years ago.

At boot camp, these hyenas scream at these
freshly shorn of their “freedom” young know-
nothings & turn them into know-nothing killing
machines. Then they ship them overseas to occupy,
kill and otherwise menace our “enemies” - people
unlucky enough to be born in a land atop huge
pools of underground oil. Right now (1-16-07)
they’re preparing a “surge” of mass murder in the
Shiite ghettos of Baghdad, with the approval of
their lackey - al-Maliki..

1sn’t it wonderful to see King’s “Dream”
come to life? Why, we have Uncle Clarence Thomas
on the U.s Supreme Court! And this judicial nazi
even has a “personality” - unfortunately a s
Perverted one! Why, who could forget the smarmy
fascination of the “pubjc hair on the coke can”
confirmation hearings? Imagine that: 5 “black”
man is “qualified” for the U.s. Supreme Court!

Only in Amerikkka! So what if Dred scot is

And, let’s not forget the “advances” women
have made! Oh, have they come a long way, Baby!
Under Clinton, the genosadist, Madeigine Albright
became Secretary of State! She took over from
folin Powell, overseeing the 12-year toddlercide
in Irag. It was “worth it” to slowly ki1l
children for lack of food, water and basie
medicines. She went on to guest star on the T.V.
Show “Gilmore Girls.” Colin went on to set up the
;Shock & Awe” otherworldly bombardment of March
203, by lying “convincingly” at the 0 N Colin is
2 “black” monster man!

And now we have that little coconut-headed
bitch, Condoleezza Rice ~ & “black” woman o
Secretary of State. she adds “legitimacy” to the

jemocracy, sometimes we need the Supreme Court to
ntangle elections and over-ride the controversy
>t a recount.

Rice says the looming bloodbath, called a
“surge” by "W’ is not an “escalation” but rather,
an “augmentation.” She plays the piano and loves
football. Isn’t it all so wonderful?

Menawhile, most women now get to work at
miserable wage-slave jobs, just like their
husbands, fathers, boyfriends, and sons. How
lucky is that They can now be blown to bits in
Iraq, too!

They’re enjoying the fruits of the “sexual
revolution” too! They’re contracting AIDS at an
alarming rate. They get to work in strip clubs
and in the mega-bucks porn industry. They also
get to be the “head of the household” as the only
adult! And, it’s not just their husbands and sons
who get to go to prison for their “three hots and
a cot.” I’m proud to announce, that women are now
the fastest growing members of “Prisoner Nation.”
And, they don’t have to worry about their young
children, while they’re serving time for their
“crime.” The state will gladly take custody of
their children off their hands - especially if Mom
complains at all.

These are just a few of the marvelous
advancements made the last few decades to help us
realize Dr. King’s dream. Our children aren’t a
problem - cute and pudgy - they’re catatonically
glued o their big screen, watching all kinds of
violent animation. And if they start actin’ up,
back-talkin’ and hittin’ the streets, the cops are
there to round them up and haul them away. It's
just like taking out the garbage. It’s your tax
dollars at work!

A Savior Has Succumbed

We've finally found our golden boy

Even though he’s kind of tan.

Is he in this thing for real or just holdin’ coy?
The Tribune says he’s gotta be our man!

Bush has been horrible and Condi’s just insane!
Hillary’s not adorable and Kerry’s so damn lame!
Barack has offered to bomb Iran and even Pakistan.
He’s with the corporate program — Pax Amerikkkan!

With his toothy grin and his skinny head
Contrived pensive looks and snappy suits

He's youngish-looking — not warmed-over dead.
‘Written wordy books and linin’ up recruits!

His dumbo ears are sure to please
Cartoonists! He’ll no doubt strive to appease.
He’ll talk to your wife on your cell phone
And reel off quips, before he’s done.

He’s the new Messigh, groomed of *08.

But is he really all that great?

After Junior, we just don’t really care.

‘That moron left the cupboard bloody and bare.

Obama sounds like he knows what he’s talking about
Until you listen to what he actually says.

At least he doesn’t scream and shout.

And a Man (or Woman) of integrity was mighty scarce.
Their keynote speaker should be Obama, so said a poll.

Whatever he said, the mainstream loved

As the cops cracked heads outside.

They had a “free speech” pen, with trains above
Barack was God now — as evermore Iragis died.

He wrote a best-selling book

About some junk his father used to do.

A millionaire now — without bein’ a crook!
Now that was something entirely new!

Here, there and everywhere — tellin’ us what to do

Meanwhile, Junior looks ever more the stupid dope.

Hes teasing and toying and ‘thinking about jt.’
Poor Hillary and her pancake make-up disasters!
Can only put on a brave face and think, ‘Oh, shit!
This nattily attired freak is one of the masters!’

As bodies are blown to bits, shot up and strewn
In the ever “restive” Middle East,

Barack Hussein Obama is in a festive mood.
For the brain dead, he’s the key to “peace.”

With a limp-wrist handshake and gee-whiz demeanor
Why this man’s intellect coyld not be keener!

As the grin lines in his face tun into ugly furrows

And his corporate buddies try to deny us our tomorrows
All the ass Kissing he does and the favors he curries

The Police Are Trained Killers 2%

Peaple are incredibly naive, here in America. Many believe this
horrible war in Iraq is a hideous aberation of *American values” of
freedom, peace, justice, benevolence, etc. This is not true.
America has always been fiercely aggressive and murderous
towards people throughout the four comers of the globe - from
South and Central America, to Southeast Asia, the Middle East,
Africa, Asia, even North America and Europe, the U.S. military has
repeatedly unleashed ghastly camage on the people and ecology.
As well, they've trained and propped up the most monstrous,
murderous proxy govemments, and their death squad police and
militaries. No evil, nor gruesome torture is off the table to these
sadists. Murder means nothing to them. It's routine. It's their “job.”

So, now, where do you think they get the-people to run the police
and prison apparatus in this country? Well, there's a lot of
corruption and nepotism and clout type favoritism. Some people
love to wield authority over others, some enjoy causing pain and
some are racists who see these jobs as a chance to “deal” with
those they hate. Some are imbued with idealism, patriotism and
even want to help humanity and pursue-a police career, inculcated
with the official propaganda, that this is the career where their hopes
and dreams of “service® can best be realized. After all, the culture is
a ubiquitous police-glarying one.

But, a very important piece of their resume, which is aimost
‘mandatory, is military service. First, you must become a trained
killer for the U.S. or state govemment (National Guard.) These
distinctions are blurred, as the U.S. imperialist juggemaut is
regularly sending guardsmen and women overseas to their theatres
of operations — lately, Iraq and Afghanistan.

So, if you're lucky enough to survive your tour(s) and come home
to look for wark, you've been conditioned Into accepting (and
participating in) the most sinister of organized criminality — breaking
into paoples’ homes, kidnapping men, shooting, killing, torturing,
intimidating people. In short, you've become “nazified.” The most
heinous activities, you come to see as normal, necessary, routine, -
even “good.”

These are the types of pecple that the increasingly militarized
police forces in the U.S. are looking for.

Many people recoll at this horrible development. They oppose
killing and war for American business profit and monopoly of the
worlds’ resources. The clarity of this humanist perspective is very
loudy on the American psyche, as people are subjected to relentiese
brainwash and lies, which people are so bombarded with, here.

Anyone who's been to an anti-war demonstration in Chicago, or
anywhere else in the us. is confronted by hundreds (even

mmmunuaurm.n.mm-mmtummm

Soldier of 18, 19 or 20 sent out on patrol, Even though
the kil ratio is something like 100 - 1, U.S. saldiers do get killed in
fraq. Many, many more aro seriously njured and eves ot stil
have delayed disabilties, due to post-traumatic stregs syndrome
nd the after-effects of depleted uranium and other poisans they've
been subjected to. This doesn't even really factor in the
psychological nightmare of being brutalized into being a soldier and
forced to witness (and participate in) evil activities. 24

8o, when they come home, they don't *fit in’ the nice, artificial
consumerist sit-com world they left. Jobs (as always) are scarce
and besides, who's going to want to hire a guy who's gone through
this Dante's Inferno? Well, the state might hire you, a prison might
hire you and the police always need guys used to this sort of order-
‘obeying without qualms training

Bush rose to the Presidency as a Texas serial killer. Why,
Hitler's election was cleaner than W's! He's now a world-class
genocidal criminal as is Cheney and the others, calling the deadly
shots. So, intemational criminals determine who our “enemies” are
‘and what “ctiminal behavior* is anything that opposes their
megalomania.)

The police follow guidelines erected by totally corupt legisiative
and judiciary systems. So, the cops are awash in a sea of
criminality. They've come from the miltary-and have seen (and
participated in) murders and all forms of mayhem - without hardly
any serious accountabillty. We've seen wedding parties bombed,
even “friendly fire" incidents, mass killings of “insusgents’ and
“civilians® — all mean nothing, except maybe an absolving,
perfunctory “report.” This is their training on how to write reports,
once they're back in the States, as cops.

Plus, ke heroin, the military doesn't like to let go of their peaple,
and often, forces them back into active duty in the military and they
find themselves shouldering a much more letha gun, in &
neighborhood in a foreign country. Also, there's the soldier-of-
fortune (mercenaries) or private contractor “security” forces
(corporate-run, for-profit armies) layers of domestic security.forces,
etc. which the police can and do also access.

Cops also see the sordid underbelly of corporate crime, wage-
slavery, “llegal” aliens, and a wild assortment of profit-maximization
schemes, unsafe working conditions, bank fraud, mass lay-offs, the
blackmail corporate lawyers use to extort concessions from grateful
(and bribe-taking) local officials, drunken corrupt politicians,
prosecutors and judges as well as the ugly manifestations of street
crime ~ prostitution, sexual slavery, drug addiction, killings,
robberies, etc., etc. So, they're operating in a-sea of crime, and are
left to sort it all out, under the strange constrictions of the “law.”
‘They must hold their noses and follow the guidelines set by the big
corporate criminals and their political fiunkies. Al those who are
connected get a free pass.

So, they're left to “make a living” ~ engaging in criminal activity

the movement pointed the way for how anarchists could maximize their

"As the U.S. prison population exploded in the mid to late 70's, 80's, 90s

‘The Anarchist Black Cross Federation (ABCF) was formed in the mid-

“crimes” committed to directly challenge the State, such as Lutalo,

Several other individual anarchist support groups flowered briefly, as did
‘anarchist driven books to prisoner programs. Many anarchists work with
other types of support groups and some anarchists do serious support to
anarchist prisoners and others that they know, outside any type of

organization, or otherwise.

e case of Mumia Abu-Jamal gave the prison struggle a strong focal

the police aren’t prosecuted, either, except under heavy pressure from
the eitisens. The job-description of a cop i to commit crime for the
‘government and to protect corporate.(stolen) property. ‘The best career
‘move for a seriously hardened criminal is to become a cop!

1" But, how do we deal with crime and how do we deal with aberrant
‘behavior? The best defense against a criminal attack is self-defense and

| community-organized defense. Do not call the cops! For example, a family
| member stresses-out and threatens himself or someone else with a knife,
say. You call the cops. The cops come and kil your relative. Nothing is
going to happen to that cop who killed your family member! Even if he was
charged and even convicted, it would be through the injustice system

. anyway, where lawyers, prosecutors and judges take the place of “the
People.” So, you won't get anything close to “justice” and even if the cop
‘ended up in prison, nothing good would come from that, either.

But, you'l bave to live with guilt and regret for the rest of your life
‘because you know you could have calmed him down, eventually, if you had
taken direct action instead of fascist action.

“There are other ways to deal with aberrant behavior, than by the
‘counter-productive nightmare, gas-on-the-fire *solution” that is the
charade of show trialing and incarceration. These include: ostracism,
‘public denunciation (and possible forgiveness), restitution to the victim(s),
‘persuasion, education, social pressure, noo-compulsory therapy, help of
friends and neighbors, non-collaboration, nonviolent resistance, and even
Violent self-defense, if necessary. These methods work to great effect, if the
situation is not menaced by coercive authority and through the
‘corrupt court system, where “justice” s for sale and hire and convictions
and harsh prison termas go to the dark-complexioned &/or poor.

‘These remedies work well in a sane, non-oppressive society, where crime

* is not being bred by a coercive state, o when the authorities are kept out of
it. Most crime will have vanished, as people are prodncts of their

_ cavironment and their conditioning and are not pre-disposed to criminal
activity, don'tlike what they are doing or have become, but don't know the
way out. Often, they're coerced into these roles.

“This brings me to another point. Just as societal crime needs to be
exorcised by killing the head of the snake (the State), individuals, who have
been criminalized (and often encaged) must be fundamentally re-wired and
re-directed from a self-bating, predatory, socially, psychologically,
historically and politically ignorant mind-set to a self-respecting,
conscious, aware, fearless and dedicated mindset, that will enabie them to
become gennine. freedom ghters for their people.

By doing this, anarchists take solidarity to the next level. People need to
Jearn many strains of thought to get a well-rounded understanding of the
whole. By being available in providing others’ material in addition to
anarchist analysis and so forth, is not lost on the minds of prisoners.

‘The principles of anarchism in real application rise beyond being just a
narrow strain of thought among many, to take root in the minds of the
, many that anarchy is the fundamental ery of revolt every oppressed person
‘among prisoners and the Idea is implanted in their brains, as fear and
resignation give way to a completely new sense of dedication and
comradely belonging! This is a thunderciap of psychological Liberation!

‘When prisoners write back to request their band-picked set of
revolutionary study materials — and receive them promptly, with no real
strings attached, along with an exteasive catalog and maybe a (hard to
read) hand-written letter, a feeling of the possible has begun to bud. For,
up to that point, everything had a price tag on it and was about some rip-off
scheme. Here was the untold truth, plain and simple, given freely, by
anarchists, who did so because they love freedom and hate fascism.

For perhaps the first time in their lives, they re being exposed to the
revolutionary truth, written by conscious fellow prisoners and fighters on
the “outs” detailing the realities of prisons and how they are connected to
the world-wide struggle. It's what slaves require to unlock the key for a real

‘Anarchism preseated this way - as a fundamental act of solidarity in
action, becomes the life-blood of the struggle. There are different blood
types, A, B, O positive and negative. Anarchism is like plasma — the
* essential ingredient that sustains life and can be given to anybody,

ighter is very difficult. Distrust and treachery are sown into every day, as
piards and snitch prisoners, scheme to set-up those whao fight. But, this
zucible of suffering is a make or break situation. Some fall by the wayside,
;6 mad or whatever. Others become stronges — the Malcolm X's & George
Jackson's of today!

Often, prisoners, who are active politically, are set up by the giards
working with prisoners working for the guards for special favors. For
example, they may force you out into the yard, with rival gang members

As for voluntary association, nobody has to work for anybody they doa't
want to — inside or out. Ifa prisoner (ar anybody else) is playing sexual
games or trying to put on some kind of hustle, T have no quahns in calling
them out. If people are loaking for other like-minded individuals (such as
other gay or transgendered prisoners) I'l try to refer them. Tl try to
facilitate some kind of working relationship,if ['m t00 busy or otherwise
inadequate. People have the right to associate with wha they want to and if
Tcan help them accomplish this goal, that scores points for the ideals of
anarchism, as demonstrated by an anarchist — me!

Tthink it serves people well to be thick-skinned, yet sensitive. Give
people plenty of slack, but don't ever allow predation and be attuned to
those who are the most needful. I've sometimes rubbed people the wrong

t0 and genuinely engaged as persoa. I¢'s been my exporience that the
know-it-all anarchist is the biggest asshole in the room. The reason I say
this is because I've been that dumb-assed person myself, on occasion.

As for affinity groups and collectives, I'l say this. It's more difficult
forming these groups with prisoners. For example, since the Constitution
considers prisoners slaves, it is thus *illegal” for them to form a slave-labor
‘union, such as the Missour Prison Labor Usion, to challenge the
conditions of their slave labor. The courageons activists of this anarchist
‘group are forever being assaulted, transferred, thrown into the hole or
otherwise harassed by the authorities. Don't ever let the prisonkrats
discourage you from wrking with such prisoners. They aleo disappear
letters, publications, cointelpro (iie) about people, etc. Stay with it and
‘build those collectives.

‘The walls of prisom will come dowr and-the staves set free, when the
anarchist understanding of the State reackes a critical mass. When enough
people can overcome their fear, self-loathing, ignorance and batred of
others, and are no longer wiling to be cowed and bullied by uniformed
eriminals, the State will be a dead carcass. The best instincts-of humankind
will be nourished and the baser ones (which the State had always relied

dol Believers try to absolve their tendencies towards authoritarian
ruthlessness by saying that that is not what the original doetrines “meant!”
What actually did happen and what is happening is what matiers. In other
‘words, it’s what modern day “anarchists® actually do which defines what
anarehism is —not what asticulate anarehists of yore claimed anarchism
‘was! W have to interpret thesc principles to effectively adapt them t0 the
reality of today’s world.

Anarchism is what those who profess themseives to be anarchists
‘actually do, just like Christianity is the sum total of what the various
“Christians” actually do! How impressive anarchism becomes is in a direct
ratio to how much serious educational work, by anarchists s done for those

Who thirst for this education. Is a hugely importaat, massive, urgent,

Tbelieve diving into serious anarchist-driven prisoner support work is
the best utilization of anarchist principles. It's a hands-on personal
journey of self-discovery and learning.

Each person has their own unique talents to add to the struggle. But, we
owe it 10 our prisones to be with them, fight with them and learn with
them. Anarchisia without the fundamental component of prison abolition
is pointless and useless. Anarchism pounding in the hearts and souls of the

- worlds most oppressed becomes limitless in its applications.

old Dylan Drapeau, equally brilliant and talented, was
pointlessly murdered by a “bad apple” off-duty cop, one Brian
Dorian, at a dangerous intersection in Crete, our sister town,
‘where the Drapeau’s live.

The cover-up was swift and extensive. Several police forces
arein on it. When is a crime not a crime, you ask? The answer
is when a cop commits it. So, it’s been several months of lies,
‘more lies, deceit and its opposite — courage, bravery and
dear Dylan. Blessedly for the family, a righteous witness came
forward to the family, after the disgusting brush-off by the
Crete police, didn't take. Dylan’s father, Ken, also managed to
find a mechanical engineer professor with the experience and
social conscientiousness to genuinely explain how this
‘monstrous collision actually happened. This, of course, totally
debunks the shameful effort put forth by the police in Crete, as
‘well as the Tllinois State police reconstruction report.

‘Soon, the truth will come out, in gruesome detail. For,
Dylan, was an exemplary yousg fman, not o mention an
incredibly talented pianist. He truly was a modern-day
‘make a wonderful adult life happen. Dylan likewise never
‘touched drugs or alcohol.

'Up to this point, Dorian hasn't even been ticketed, not been

as.a Lynwood cop. He's still out there menacing
(and assaulting) other people, protected by the smirking low-
Yifes around him. We had hoped to change this, once we met
with the Will County Prosecutors who are considering charges
against him.

Yesterday, my wife and I and the Drapeau’s, Ken and
Sharrie met with two such people. We gave them the report.
They still don't believe Dorian was turning at such a recklessly
high speed, slamming into Dylan car broadside, locking
vehicles, killing Dylan. The laws of Ilinois, land of corruption,
are easy on a murderer who uses speed and recklessness to kill
his victims. We will continue, through the tears and anger, to
get them to charge Dorian with a serious felony. Yesterday, it
‘was nine months to the day that Dylan was killed. Even if the
prwealtmsmtnoguflssandpm—pigmchmgehim,wewfll
‘most certainly take the case to the court of public opinion,
where we know we will win. We need a complete revolution!
